CY Seattle: Comcast Cares Day Prep
View Registrations Tell a Friend About This EventTell a Friend

Seattle's Labateyah House first opened to provide a safe haven for tribal youth. Now, 18 years later, it has expanded to be a home for all homeless youth 18-22. The program offers a place to stay, schooling and life skills education. City Year and Comcast will be facilitating a service day at Labateyah in April. We need alumni support to prepare for the service day. Wendesday, April 17: 1pm-5pm Thursday, April 18: 1pm-5pm Friday, April 25: 8am-5pm

Please join us to prepare for a large-scale service day! Corps members and City Year staff will be preparing for this service day (Which will take place on Saturday, April 27th.) Unfortunately, we can only have Comcast volunteers on the actual day of service, but we would love alumni support to help prepare the projects:

Cutting wood for planter beds

Taping and tarping for paint projects

Removing old furniture that will be replaced

Tracing murals

We will be prepping the service site on Wednesday, April 17th from 1-5pm and Thursday, April 18th from 1pm-5pm; as well as Friday, April 26th from 8am-5pm. Please let Taylor know that you're planning on coming so we can be sure to have the right projects ready for prep!
