The largely invisible and often crushing struggles of young African-American men come vividly — and heroically — to life in All the Difference, which traces the paths of two teens from the South Side of Chicago who dream of graduating from college.The film explores the factors in their lives (education, parents and grandparents, teachers, role models, personal drive and community support) that madeall the differencein helping them be the first in their families to most likely escape poverty and secure a place in the middle class.The film features City Year Columbia, SC where Robert Henderson served as a City Year AmeriCorps member.
Arrive at 5 p.m. to catch a pre-show internship/resource fair where students and teachers can browse internship opportunities and career resources and speak with local organizations and businesses.
Screening and conversation will begin at 7 p.m.
