Career Partnership with Brooke Charter School

Brooke Charter Schools

City Year is proud to partner with Brooke Charter Schools so our alumni can continue to make a difference in classrooms and in the lives of students.

Brooke Charter Schools believes that the most effective strategy for closing the achievement gap for all low-income children is to create schools that approach teaching as the intellectually rigorous, deeply challenging profession that it is. The sophisticated nature of this work requires an investment in attracting top-notch teaching candidates and then investing in building the culture and structures that will help them develop their full potential. Therefore, Brooke Charter Schools directs all of its resources toward creating a culture that reveres great teaching, develops it, and supports it.

This partnership reflects the shared visions and values of both organizations, and their belief that young people can keep students on track to graduate from high school and pursue post-secondary education. The City Year experience is a strong indicator of future success as a Brooke Charter Schools Associate Teacher and serving a year with City Year strengthens an applicant’s application and chances for being selected as an Associate Teacher.
