Eligibility and Additional Information

  • 25% Tuition Scholarship. The scholarship award for Drexel University will be equal to 25% per graduate credit tuition for all admitted City Year corps members, alumni or staff members who enroll in face-to-face classes on a full-time or part-time basis
  • Scholarships renewable for a maximum of four years. 
  • Scholarships awarded to City Year alumni for at least one year of service and City Year staff members employed for at least two years.
  • A one-year deferral for admitted students who decide to serve with City Year for additional time before starting with Drexel University.

To identify and verify your City Year affiliation

  • To get the application fee waived and be considered for the scholarship, please contact the Admissions Office. Please state that you served with City Year and reference our partnership.

  • Service Verification Letter: To get the application fee waived and to be considered for the scholarship, a service verification letter must be requested by emailing alumni@cityyear.org with "Drexel University: City Year verification letter request" in the subject line. Within the email, include the site where you served and your corps graduation month and year. This letter will be sent electronically by City Year to Admissions Office and added to your applicant file.
