College of Art and Design
The College of Art and Design offers MFA programs in Visual Arts and Photography.
The MFA in Visual Arts program provides the ideal solution for artists, teachers, and other professionals in related fields who are seeking advancement in visual arts. Accredited by both NEASC and NASAD, the MFA program allows students, with the guidance of our internationally known faculty and mentors, to design their own studio and academic plan for each semester.
Created to emphasize craft and concept driven photography, the MFA in Photography degree program is built upon photographic history, and the fluid integration of contemporary media with traditional, and alternative, photographic practice.

Eligibility & Additional Info
- All qualifying City Year corps members, alumni, and staff who are admitted to one of Lesley University’s on-campus or low-residency graduate degree programs will receive a scholarship equal to 25 percent off tuition.
- Your scholarship may be renewed each semester for the full duration of your program, provided that you remain in good academic standing.
- City Year corps members and alumni must complete at least one year of service and City Year staff members must be employed for at least two years in order to qualify for the benefit.
- Once accepted, you may defer enrollment for up to one year if you decide to serve additional time with City Year.

- Request City Year verification.
To get your graduate program application fee waived and to be considered for the tuition discount scholarship, a service verification letter must be requested by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with "Lesley University Graduate Programs" in the subject line. Within the email, include the site where you served and your corps graduation month and year. This letter will be sent electronically by City Year Alumni Department to the Lesley Graduate Admissions Office and added to your applicant file.
