Meet our University and Career Partners!
Share |

The Alumni & Career Services Department is excited to share that we have officially transitioned to branding our partners as City Year Alumni University and Career Partnerships, University Partners and Career Partners for short.

Why the change?  We are re-branding give a year Partnerships as City Year Alumni University Partnerships, or University Partnerships across our website and collateral. Our partnership may also be referred to as a City Year National Service Scholars program. Similarly, LACY partnerships are now City Year Alumni Career Partnerships, or Career Partnerships for short.  We have decided to re-brand our partnerships to better communicate these benefits to prospective applicants, current corps members, alumni and staff.

Where will I see this change? Everywhere! All content on the alumni website has been updated (including a new look!), and we are updating the main site. We will soon have updated two-pagers for you to use while recruiting. If you see something that needs changing, let us know!

Are there other changes associated with the re-brand? The re-brand process was done to add clarity and intentionality to our partnerships. Moving forward, there will be a specific process for potential new partners to be submitted, scored, and selected by a committee of invested organizational staff across departments.

We're guessing you still have questions.  Below are some answers.  If we missed one, no worries!  We're hosting a webinar for all Recruitment and Admissions Staff (see below) to dive deeper on this process and answer all of your questions.

Does this mean the moratorium is lifted?  It does! If you have introduced us to a partner since we paused on new partnerships, we will be sharing information on the partnership process with these partners by September 1.  Because we have a new partnership initiation process, you can direct new interested schools and organizations to this page to be considered.

So how does someone become a partner? During the Open Proposal period, you and/or the interested organization may submit the short form on this page. From there, we will score the potential partner to ensure there will be a successful partnership for both the organization and City Year, and then inform partners of their status. The full timeline is outlined here.
