|Roots Elementary Teaching Fellowship|
City Year is proud to partner with Roots Elementary Teaching Fellowship so our alumni can continue to make a difference in classrooms and in the lives of students. This partnership reflects the shared visions and values of both organizations, and their belief that young people can keep students on track to graduate from high school and pursue post-secondary education. City Year strengthens an applicant’s competitiveness and chances for being selected for Roots Elementary Teaching Fellowship.
Roots Elementary is a new school that does school in a new way. Roots is the product of over three years of rigorous design work, drawing on best practices from high-performing schools around the country, cutting edge technology, and an innovative use of time and space that finally puts students at the center of their education. The Roots Teaching Fellowship is an apprenticeship program in partnership with the University of Colorado that prepares you to be a phenomenal lead teacher at Roots or elsewhere after completing the one year program.
