|Career Partnership with UP Education Network|
UP Education Network is a nonprofit school management organization whose mission is to rapidly transform chronically underperforming district schools into extraordinary schools that sustain high achievement over time. Our turnaround schools ensure that students acquire the knowledge, skills, and strength of character necessary to succeed on the path to college and to achieve their full potential. Our transformative take on closing the achievement gap and deep commitment to sharing best educational practices across our network earned us “2013 U.S. Education Reform Organization of the Year” by NewSchools Venture Fund. UP Education Network currently operates five schools: UP Academy Charter School of Boston (grades 6-8), UP Academy Leonard Middle School (grades 6-8), UP Academy Charter School of Dorchester (grades K1-6), UP Academy Oliver (grades 6-8), and UP Academy Holland (grades K1 – 5). Across our network, we serve more than 2,500 students in Boston and Lawrence. The City Year experience is a strong indicator of future success at UP Education Network and serving a year with City Year strengthens an applicant’s application and chances for being selected as a Resident Teacher.
Our Resident Teachers work alongside lead classroom teachers to assist scholars across our network as they demonstrate outstanding - and in some cases, historic- academic progress. Click Here to learn more about the UP Education Network experience.
