From December 1993 to October 1997, Ken Barth helped to found and build Micromuse, Inc. from a U.S. startup to a publicly traded company (NASDAQ: MUSE). Prior to 1993, Ken served as a senior executive with both Morse Computers, PLC and Business Systems Group, PLC in the U.K.
The founder of TekTools, Inc., Ken served as the chief executive officer and president of the company from November 1997 to January 2010. During his tenure, the company developed and brought to market the KAWA and Profiler products. KAWA, a Java Integrated Development Environment, garnered more than 50,000 users worldwide before the product and the development team was acquired by the Alliare Corp. (NASDAQ:ALLR) in November 2000.
Ken is currently very active as a volunteer in the Dallas Independent School District (ISD) and serves on multiple education boards. He is also active in the social innovation and education reform arena as a member of Dallas Social Venture Partners.
Jennifer Asplund worked as assistant vice president (AVP) of network services, where she was responsible for the performance, quality and maintenance of AT&T's nationwide wireless network. Prior to taking this role, she supporting the president of AT&T's Technology and Operations organization as AVP chief of staff and was responsible for providing strategic tactical direction for AT&T's technology and development, network deployment and operations.
Jennifer is a diverse leader with experience driving transformational change to achieve exceptional results. She builds relationships and strategically collaborates across functions, utilizing a broad perspective built in part from leading large teams in sales, customer care and network. She thrives on finding new solutions to address complex business opportunities.
As director of corporate strategy, she led efforts to define the technology evolution known as Network 3.0 Indigo and to define AT&T's strategy as a modern media company. In her role as director of product development for Multiple Dwelling Unit (MDU) buildings, she developed a broadband product roadmap for MDU and launched the initiatives to deploy G.Fast to existing buildings. She previously led a team of employees as responsible for failed installations and repairs. By streamlining processes, inbound call volumes for pre-installation customers decreased by 30%. Responsible for U-verse Care Service Delivery, she reduced manual work and renegotiated vendor contracts, saving $26 million a year.
Jennifer is a graduate of AT&T's flagship Leadership Development Program. Jennifer was selected as a Corporate Resource from 2015-2018.
Originally from Nebraska, Jennifer graduated with honors from St. Louis University, obtaining a Bachelor's in business administration with a concentration in management information systems and finance. She has also completed her Master's of business administration at DePaul University with a focus in business strategy and leadership/change management. Jennifer currently resides in Dallas, Texas, with her husband, their son and two dogs. She spends her time outside of work doing yoga, cooking and volunteering in the community.
Rob Edmund joined Dave & Buster's in October 2018 as the senior vice president, general counsel and secretary. Previously, he was chief legal officer of Kforce Inc., a nationwide staffing and solutions company, from February 2014 to September 2018, and he also served as Kforce's chief talent officer from April 2017 to September 2018. Rob served in positions of increasing responsibility on the legal team at Petsmart, Inc., a leading pet specialty retailer, from February 2009 to February 2014, culminating in his role as vice president of legal-business operations.
Earlier in his career, Rob also served as a partner at Porter Wright, a large law firm headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, and he also worked for the international law firm of Jones Day.
