Two events coming up to be on the lookout for:

MLK Service Day

Join City Year sites for a day ON not a off. Join City Year AmeriCorps members in service projects ranging from mural painting, gardening, playground building and a community resource fair.

18 Minute Networking

18 Minute Networking is an event is led by facilitators who are City Year alumni, partners, or community leaders who can share their leadership path with corps members in small groups. It is traditionally organized by the Alumni Board in partnership with the site.

This event seeks to provide resources and support to the corps who will either start or return to school, or are looking for jobs after their service. The design of this event is intentionally interactive – we call it “18 Minute Networking “ - and focuses on connecting corps members to leaders who have experience in various career and leadership paths so they can ask questions, talk with, learn from, and practice the art of networking and building relationships.
