University Partnership: American University School of Education
Share |

City Year is proud to partner with American University's School of Education (SOE) to offer Master degree options to City Year corps members, alumni and staff who will be able to choose from three degrees in AU’s School of Education (SOE). These programs are built on a cohort-based design, include a scholarship for City Year participants, and are designed for those participants who want to make a lasting positive difference in the lives of children and engage in transformative education policy and practice.

The faculty of the
School of Education at American University are committed to excellence in the professional development of dedicated and proficient teachers, educational leaders, and researchers. Over the past 15 years, SOE has focused significant energy on the development of partnerships to support teachers in high-need public and public-charter DC schools. Through a number of federal grants over 1,200 DC teachers have participated in subsidized graduate degree programs or graduate-level professional development programs. SOE and AU are committed to working together with the DC community to ensure an equitable and excellent education for all the city’s children.
