University Partnership: Clark University Dept of International Development, Community & Environment

City Year is proud to partner with Clark University’s International Development, Community and Environment (IDCE) department so our alumni can continue to affect change in their communities, offering a 50% tuition scholarship.

Clark University IDCE prepares students to become agents of change in an increasingly interconnected world. IDCE is a community of scholars and practitioners dedicated to environmental sustainability, social justice, and economic well-being. We teach students how to identify and mobilize major forces of change, such as grassroots initiatives, social movements, government policy, market approaches, entrepreneurship, technological innovation, individual action, and education. As these challenges involve local and global forces, and engage social, economic, and environmental processes, IDCE’s position as the only graduate program in the U.S. that spans international development, domestic community development and planning, environmental science and policy, and global and community health makes our graduates uniquely qualified to address the challenges facing communities, both local and abroad.
