Become a Volunteer Mentor!
Got a heart for mentoring young professionals? With City Year’s Mentorship Program, adult volunteers can empower one of our AmeriCorps members (ages 17-25) to meet their career and professional goals. We need volunteer mentors for our 2021-2022 program, going from September 2021 through June 2022.
Who Can Volunteer?:
Adults ages 18+, preference to career professionals and City Year Alumni!
Program Start-End Dates:
September 27, 2021 – June 3, 2022

Virtual meetings and/or calls

About the Program
Volunteer mentors are paired one-to-one with one City Year AmeriCorps member for a 10-month program term. Through monthly check-ins, mentors will provide insights and coaching related to their mentee’s professional development goals and career-skill-building (ex. interview preparation, resume review, networking strategies, etc). Mentors partner with City Year staff to make an AmeriCorps member’s year of service into a year of learning that will jumpstart their professional careers!
Note/Disclaimer:
Given the limited number of mentees within our program, City Year may not accept all applicants as part of this program. City Year will review all mentor applications to create meaningful 1:1 pairs between available mentor applicants and City Year mentees. Your application helps us get to know you better and how you would like to volunteer your time and expertise to develop City Year service leaders.
