City Year is proud to partner with Antioch University, a nonprofit institution of higher learning founded on the principles of rigorous liberal arts education, innovative experiential learning and socially engaged citizenship, with their campuses in New England and Los Angeles offering a 25% tuition scholarship.


Background

Eligibility and Additional Info

  • Scholarship and Program eligibility: 
    • Antioch University Los Angeles: 25% Tuition Scholarship towards the M.A. in Nonprofit Management program, renewable each year for a maximum of two years, awarded to up to two (2) City Year scholars each year.
    • Antioch University New England:  25% Tuition Scholarship towards any full-time graduate or PhD program, renewable each year for a maximum of two years, awarded to up to two (2) City Year scholars each year. See list of eligible graduate programs and doctoral programs.  Programs include Applied psychology, clinical psychology, education, teacher certification, environmental studies and more.
  • Scholarships awarded to City Year corps members and alumni for at least one year of service and City Year staff members employed for at least two years. Scholarship recipients must meet Antioch University New England Admission Criteria.

  • A one-year deferral for admitted students who decide to serve additional time with City Year before starting their graduate study with Antioch University New England or Antioch University Los Angeles’s M.A. in Nonprofit Management Program.

  • Applicants will be considered for additional merit-based awards based on the strength of the application.


To Apply

 

  •  To verify and identify your City Year affiliation:To get the application fee waived and to be considered for the scholarship, a service verification letter must be requested by emailing alumni@cityyear.org with "Antioch University (specify Los Angeles or New England)" in the subject line. Within the email, include the site where you served and your corps graduation month and year. This letter will be sent electronically by City Year to the Admissions Office and added to your applicant file.
