Meet Impact Coach Deanne Austin

Meet City Year Detroit’s newest Impact Coach, Deanne Austin! Impact Coaches are the instructional experts who work with AmeriCorps members to identify student learning needs and provide them with the coaching and tools to drive students’ academic and social-emotional learning gains. Impact Coaches continually assess the service quality with both quantitative and qualitative measures and provide training responsive to identified members’ needs from that data.

Deanne loves to serve because of her love for helping others. She also loves the meaning of Ubuntu: “I am because you are.” We are excited that Deanne has joined our team at City Year Detroit, and we are grateful she took the time to answer some questions about herself. We think Deanne is pretty awesome, and we’re sure you’ll agree!
