Choosing where to apply
Each location offers City Year AmeriCorps members different types of experiences. First, explore our local benefits and determine what might be a good fit for you. Then, consider which application approach is best for you. You can apply to a site, a region or to serve where most needed.

Apply to a specific site
You can choose your top location of interest as well as up to three additional locations on the application. Applicants with relocation concerns are encouraged to consider our site-specific application options.

Apply to a region
If you apply to a region, you are willing and able to serve at any of City Year’s sites within that region. Qualified applicants will be invited to interview with one of the sites within your selected region.

Apply to serve where you’re most needed
If you apply to serve where you’re most needed, you are willing and able to be placed at any of City Year’s 29 sites across the country. Qualified applicants will be invited to interview at the site most in need when you submit.
