POSITION SUMMARY: The Visual Arts Program Counselor provides activities and education that allow campers to express themselves creatively through multiple mediums. The main objective of the LVC arts program is to create space for expression, identity exploration, and confidence building through the act of creating.


Live in a cabin with a co-counselor and 8 campers, and provide active supervision and attention to the physical and emotional wellbeing of campers during all on-duty hours.
Provide age appropriate visual arts activities to campers using multiple mediums and skill sets.
Complete participation notes and attendance notes daily for all campers who attended visual arts activities.
Communicate with co-counselor and supervisor appropriately to balance responsibilities as a program instructor with responsibilities as a cabin counselor.
Support the needs of other program areas with use of art room supplies and special art activities.
Actively participate in camp life and programming outside of visual art activity times including evening activities, camper choice time, theme days, bus duty, and more.
